Alyssa currently lives and works in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she also received her BA in pre-art therapy from the University of Saint Francis. She also graduated with a concentration in painting and a minor in psychology.
Her work is focused on natural environment and the ways in which our environment is impacted by humanity, particularly through economy and industry. Educating the viewer about climate change is a driving force behind the work. The innate connection between human beings and their relationship to the natural world is also an explored theme.
Using the juxtaposition of bright and dull colors, hard and soft forms, she creates environments that feel familiar, yet foreign.
